Terms of service
The short version: AnswerGround measures where a business shows up in Google Maps results across an area. We promise the measurement, not a ranking. Last updated 14 September 2026.
Who you contract with
AnswerGround is a trade name of Marius Kerkvliet, sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak), Herenstraat 83A, 2313 AG Leiden, the Netherlands, registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under 99702738, VAT id NL005404755B62. Contact: info@answerground.nl.
Business customers only
The service is offered to businesses and professionals acting in the course of their trade, not to consumers. By creating an account you confirm that you use it for your business or on behalf of a business client. Consumer protection rules such as the 14-day right of withdrawal therefore do not apply.
What the service does
A scan searches each keyword at a set of points around a business and records the position of that business and its competitors in the results. Results come from third-party data sources that query Google Maps. They are a measurement at the moment of the scan and can differ from what an individual searcher sees, which depends on their device, account and exact location.
AnswerGround is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google. It does not promise that any business will rank higher, get more calls or earn more.
Scans in Test Mode use generated sample data, are labelled as such and cost no credits.
Plans and credits
Each plan includes a number of credits per calendar month (Amsterdam time). One credit is one point searched for one keyword. Unused credits do not carry over.
When you start, upgrade or downgrade a paid plan during a month, that month's credits are adjusted in proportion to the time each plan applied. Plans are compared by their price per month (a yearly price divided by twelve). A switch to a plan that costs more per month applies immediately: it is charged at once, with credit for the unused part of your current period, and the new credits apply straight away. A switch to a plan that costs the same or less per month, and any change between monthly and yearly billing of the same plan, takes effect at the end of the paid period.
Extra credits can be bought in packs of 1,000 and count for the calendar month in which the payment succeeds. If a payment for extra credits is refunded in full or disputed, those credits are removed; a partial refund is settled with you by email.
When a keyword fails to scan for technical reasons, or some of its points cannot be searched, the credits for what could not be scanned are returned automatically. If you delete a business or a scan while it is still scanning, the points already searched are charged and only the points not yet searched are returned.
Each plan includes a set number of locations and repeat scans. After a downgrade, the locations added first stay included; the others stay visible and can be deleted, but cannot be scanned until you upgrade or remove other locations.
Payment
Paid plans are billed in advance per month or per year through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are in euros. No VAT is charged under the Dutch small businesses scheme (kleineondernemersregeling, Article 25 of the Turnover Tax Act 1968), so the price shown is the amount you pay. If that changes, we will tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal.
If a renewal payment fails, paid features such as the plan's credits and repeat scans pause until the payment succeeds. If a payment is disputed, paid features pause until the dispute is resolved.
You can switch plans on the Plans page, except while a payment is overdue or disputed, and cancel through the payment details linked from that page. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; periods already paid are not refunded.
Fair use
Do not resell raw result data as a data feed, try to access other customers' data, overload the service with automated requests, create accounts to get more free credits, or use it for anything unlawful. We limit how often searches, scans and repeat scans can be started, and we may suspend an account that abuses the service, after warning you where that is reasonable.
Your data and your clients' data
What we do with personal data is described in the privacy notice. If you are an agency and enter details about your clients, we process those on your behalf. A data processing agreement is available on request at info@answerground.nl.
Availability
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Data sources change without notice; when one is unavailable, scans may fail or be delayed, and keywords that fail for technical reasons cost nothing.
Liability
AnswerGround provides measurements, not guarantees. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the event that caused the damage, and to direct damage only. We are not liable for lost profit, lost revenue or decisions made on the basis of scan results. These limits do not apply to damage caused by our intent or deliberate recklessness.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing info@answerground.nl. We may end the agreement with 30 days' notice, or immediately if you seriously breach these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will email you about material changes at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before that date.
Governing law
Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in The Hague, unless mandatory law says otherwise.
